    Stunning photographs. The more I read about these guys the more respect I have for them. I might even say I am growing to love them. It's always good to learn more about the other animals of Africa. Hyenas have had a bad press but hopefully by reading and learning more about them this will all change in their favour.

    Just caught up with your comment. I'm glad you like the site. It is much appreciated. You're right, hyenas often seem to be referred to as 'the villains of the plains' (remember the way they were portrayed in 'The Lion King'?) while the way their 'clan' system works is wonderful. Their social life is quite fascinating. Glad you're growing to love them.
